Why this is hard

Nobody hands a homeschool family a guidance office.

You were the teacher. Now, in the last two years, you are also the registrar, the principal, and the counselor — and the paperwork is due in a format nobody ever showed you.

An admissions reader gives a file a few minutes. In those minutes your transcript has to answer their questions without them having to ask: how many credits, on what scale, covering which subjects, and what was actually taught in a course called “Literature.” If it doesn’t, the file gets set aside for follow-up — not rejected, but slowed down, at the exact moment you can least afford it.

A note on ESA and school-choice funds

Some education savings accounts and school-choice programs cover educational services like these, and many require the provider to be pre-approved first — Kin & Course is not currently an approved vendor in any program. Check your own program’s guidelines before you count on it, and plan to pay from personal funds if there is any doubt.

Five to ten business days depending on the package, counted from the day payment clears. One round of revisions is included. Sources are cited so you can check the research.

If it isn’t right, you don’t pay for it.

One hundred percent money back. If what we send isn’t what you needed, tell us and we refund you in full — and you keep the documents.

That is not a growth tactic; it is the only honest way to sell paperwork to someone who has never met us. We would rather return the money than have a family send out records they don’t trust. One round of revisions is included in every package, so most of the time it never comes to that.

This is a family-run document-preparation service. There is no team page and no stock photography of people who don’t work here, because there is no team.

Here is how the work actually gets done, since you would be trusting me with four years of your family’s records. Modern AI tooling does the research and the first drafts: reading your state’s homeschool statute, pulling the published admission requirements for the colleges on your list, formatting the transcript to convention. Then I read every line before anything leaves here. The automation is why this costs $249 instead of $2,490. The review is why I am willing to put my name on it and refund you if it is wrong.

What I am not: a school, an accredited body, a licensed counselor, or an attorney. I prepare documents and plans. Your transcript is issued by you — my job is to make sure it is prepared, formatted, and researched well enough that no admissions office has to squint at it.

Kin & Course launched in 2026 with no testimonials, because we have no past clients yet. When we do, and they are willing, their words will appear here — theirs, not ours. In the meantime, the guarantee is the promise, and sample deliverables are the evidence.

The things families actually ask.

Are parent-made transcripts really accepted?

Yes. Colleges accept parent-issued homeschool transcripts — it is the normal, expected path for homeschool applicants, and admissions offices read thousands of them every year. There is no seal to be missing.

What an admissions reader is checking is whether the document is complete, consistent, and easy to read: credits that add up, a stated grading scale, course titles that describe real work, and descriptions that back them up. Well-prepared documentation is the whole ballgame, and it is the whole job we do.

How long does it take?

Transcript Build, 5 business days. Course-of-Study Plan, 7. Applicant Package, 10. The clock starts the day your payment clears and we have your records in hand, not the day you send the intake form.

If your deadline is sooner than that, say so on the intake form. If we can’t do it well in your time frame, we will tell you rather than take the work.

What if I’m not satisfied?

You get your money back — all of it — and you keep the documents. Ask, and we refund; there is no window to miss and no form to argue with.

Every package also includes one round of revisions, so if something is off, the first move is usually to fix it rather than to unwind it. Either way the choice is yours.

Is this legal, tax, or admissions advice?

No. We prepare documents and plans. We are not attorneys, accountants, licensed counselors, a school, or an accredited body, and nothing we send you is advice of that kind.

Homeschool requirements are set by your state and they change. Please verify your state’s current requirements yourself — we cite our sources in every deliverable specifically so you can check the research instead of taking our word for it.

My records are a mess. Is that a problem?

No, and it is the normal starting point. Reading-list photos, a co-op syllabus, curriculum receipts, four years of memory, and a spreadsheet abandoned in 2023 — send whatever exists. Part of what you are buying is somebody else doing the reconstruction.

Where there is a genuine gap, we ask you specific questions. We do not invent coursework, hours, or grades.

Can I pay with an ESA or education savings funds?
