Kin & Course

Terms

The deal, in plain words.

Last updated 27 August 2026. These terms cover this website and the packages sold through it.

Who we are

Kin & Course is a document preparation and planning service operated by Mark Restivo in the United States. You can reach us at mark@restivo.net.

What we do

We prepare documents and plans from the information you give us: transcripts, course descriptions, grading-scale and credit summaries, four-year course-of-study plans, research into your state’s homeschool requirements and your target colleges’ published admission requirements, counselor-letter frameworks, and admissions document sets. Which of these you get depends on the package you buy.

What we are not

We are not a school, an accredited institution, an accrediting body, a licensed school counselor or guidance counselor, an independent educational consultant, an attorney, or an accountant. Nothing we prepare or say is legal, tax, financial, or professional counseling advice.

Homeschool transcripts are issued by you, the parent. We prepare, format, and research the document; you review it, you sign it, and you are the party attesting to its accuracy. We do not certify, accredit, validate, or vouch for any student’s coursework, credits, hours, or grades — we record what you tell us and format it to convention.

Homeschool requirements are set by your state and change over time. We cite our sources so you can verify our research, and you remain responsible for confirming your state’s current requirements and each college’s current admission requirements.

What we can’t promise

We cannot promise any admissions outcome, scholarship, credit acceptance, or that any particular institution will accept a document. No honest provider can. What we promise is careful, conventional, well-researched preparation — and a refund if you are not satisfied with it.

Your part

The deliverable is only as accurate as the information behind it. You agree that the records, coursework, hours, and grades you give us are truthful to the best of your knowledge, and that you will review the finished documents before using them. Where a genuine gap exists we will ask you rather than fill it in ourselves. We will not fabricate coursework, credits, or grades, and we will decline work that asks us to.

Prices, payment, and turnaround

Prices are flat and stated on the site: Transcript Build $249, Course-of-Study Plan $449, Applicant Package $899, in US dollars. Nothing is charged when you submit the intake form. If we confirm the work is a fit, we send a secure payment link; the price you were quoted is the price you pay.

Turnaround is 5, 7, and 10 business days respectively, counted from the day payment clears and we have the records we need — whichever is later. One round of revisions is included in every package. If we cannot meet a deadline you have told us about, we will say so before you pay.

The money-back guarantee

If you are not satisfied with what we deliver, tell us and we refund the full amount you paid. You keep the documents. There is no deadline to miss, no form to fill in, and no requirement to explain yourself — though we would like to hear what went wrong so we can fix it.

Who owns what

Your records stay yours. The finished deliverables are yours to use, edit, print, and submit however you like once payment is made. We keep no rights over them and will not publish, excerpt, or use them as samples without asking you in writing first. The design, wording, and templates behind this site and our document formats remain ours.

How the work gets done

We use automated tooling to perform research and produce first drafts, and every deliverable is reviewed by Mark Restivo before it is sent to you. We say so plainly because you are entitled to know how your family’s records are being handled.

Cancelling

You may cancel any time before delivery for a full refund. We may also decline or return work — if a package is not right for your situation, if a deadline is not achievable, or if we are asked to record something we believe is untrue — and if we do, you get your money back in full.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to our services is limited to the amount you paid us for the package in question. We are not liable for admissions decisions, missed deadlines caused by information arriving late, or actions taken by schools, colleges, or state authorities.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the version in force for your order is the one published when you paid. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, where Kin & Course operates.
