What we hold, and what we don’t.
Last updated 27 August 2026. Written to be read, not to be survived.
What we collect
Only what you type into the intake form or send us by email: your name, your email address, your state, your student’s grade and expected graduation year, the package you are interested in, and whatever you tell us about your records, target colleges, and timeline. Later, if you hire us, the records you send so we can prepare your documents.
We do not ask for and do not want Social Security numbers, financial account details, or medical records. Please don’t send them.
What we use it for
Two things: replying to you, and preparing the documents you hired us to prepare. That is the entire list.
What we never do
- We never sell, rent, trade, or share your information with anyone for their own purposes.
- We never add you to a mailing list you did not ask to join.
- We never publish, quote, or excerpt your family’s records — including as a sample or testimonial — without your written permission, asked for specifically.
- We never run advertising or behavioral trackers on this site.
The site itself
These pages are static files with no accounts, no analytics, and no cookies set by us. Two third parties are involved in loading a page, and neither is ours:
- The web host. The site is hosted on GitHub Pages, which keeps standard server logs (including IP addresses) as part of serving any website.
- Google Fonts. The two typefaces load from Google’s font servers, which see the request. Nothing about you is sent along with it.
The intake form is delivered by FormSubmit, which takes your submission and emails it to us. Your answers pass through their service on the way to Mark’s inbox.
How long we keep it
Intake submissions from families who don’t become clients are deleted within twelve months. Client records and finished deliverables are kept for three years after the work is delivered, so we can help if you need a copy or a correction later. Ask us to delete yours sooner and we will, subject to any records we are legally required to keep, such as basic transaction records for tax purposes.
Where it lives
Client records are stored on Mark’s own encrypted systems, not in a shared drive or a customer database. Automated tooling is used to draft deliverables, and your records are part of what that tooling reads in order to do it — the same way a human assistant would read them. Every draft is reviewed by Mark before anything is sent to you.
Children
You are the parent, and you are the one giving us information about your student. We collect nothing from children directly and this site is not directed at them.
Asking us anything
Want to know what we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted? Email mark@restivo.net. A person will answer within a few business days. There is no form and no ticket number.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top. If a change is material and you are an active client, we will email you about it rather than hope you notice.
